Terms of Service

1. Who we are

uneb.io ("uneb.io", "we", "us") is operated by Unebio, PO Box 12301, RPO Logan Creek, Langley, BC V2Y 7Y0. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

uneb.io lets you create a public "link-in-bio" profile page that hosts your links and themes. Some features require a paid tier. Paid tiers unlock extras such as more links, link scheduling, spotlight, embeds, and analytics; the Verified tier also unlocks a custom domain and email capture. Available features may change over time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have parental consent where permitted.

4. Payment: one-time Premium and Verified

Premium is a one-time payment of $25.00 USD that unlocks Premium features for your account. A separate, optional Verified upgrade is a one-time payment of $50.00 USD; it is granted only after an identity-verification (KYC) review and unlocks the top tier. Both are one-time payments, not subscriptions, and there is no recurring or annual charge. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we do not store your full card details. Prices may change for new purchases, but any purchase you have already made is honored.

What "Lifetime" means. Where we describe Premium or Verified access as "Lifetime," we mean the operational lifetime of the uneb.io product, not the lifetime of any individual person. Your one-time purchase gives you access for as long as we operate uneb.io, with no further payment. It does not guarantee that the service will run in perpetuity. If we ever discontinue uneb.io, we will give reasonable advance notice and provide a way to export your data. "Lifetime" access is tied to your account and is not transferable.

5. Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund on the one-time Premium purchase. Email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, the one-time purchase is non-refundable.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use uneb.io to host or link to unlawful content, malware, spam, phishing, infringing material, or content that violates others' rights. We may suspend or remove pages that violate this section.

Fair use and service limits. Your access, including any access described as "Lifetime," is provided on a fair-use basis. Fair use means ordinary use by a single account holder for their own link-in-bio page, within the plan limits shown at purchase and without placing an unreasonable load on our systems. Examples of use that is not fair use include: automated or scripted traffic, scraping, or bot activity; using one account on behalf of many separate businesses or people to avoid buying additional accounts; reselling, sharing, or transferring your account or its features; generating traffic, bandwidth, storage, or request volumes far beyond what a normal personal page would produce; or any use intended to degrade the service for others. Where an account materially exceeds fair use, we reserve the right, at our reasonable discretion and with notice where practical, to apply rate limits or feature limits, require an upgrade or an additional account, temporarily throttle or suspend the account, or, for repeated or severe abuse, terminate it under Section 12. We will apply these measures reasonably and proportionately, and not as a way to avoid honoring a valid one-time purchase made in good faith.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you add. You grant us a limited license to host and display it for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.

8. Email capture

If you enable email capture (a Verified-tier feature), you are the controller of the subscriber data you collect. You are responsible for obtaining proper consent from your subscribers and for complying with applicable anti-spam and privacy laws (for example CASL, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR) when you contact them. We provide the collection and export tooling; how you use the exported data is your responsibility.

9. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, uneb.io and its operator, Unebio, are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, or for any business interruption or lost opportunity, whether or not we were advised that such losses were possible, and whether the claim is based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total combined liability for any and all claims relating to the service is limited to the total amount you have actually paid us for it (for example, the one-time Premium fee, plus the one-time Verified fee if you purchased it). If you use a free account and have not paid us anything, our total liability to you is zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless uneb.io and its operator, Unebio, along with its owners and staff, from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise out of or relate to: (a) the content you post or the way you use the service; (b) your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law; (c) your infringement of any third party's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights; or (d) your collection, use, or handling of subscriber data you gather through the service. This applies to direct claims as well as any indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost opportunity, whether claimed by you or by a third party. This obligation continues after your account is closed.

12. Termination

You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Changes to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

We may revise these Terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we post the updated version at uneb.io/terms and uneb.io/privacy with a new effective date. Your continued use of uneb.io after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms and Privacy Policy. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example a notice on the site or an email. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service; you may delete your account at any time.
